Question by angelluna20: Woke up with cold sore and had oral sex last night?

I had oral sex with my partner last night and this morning I woke up with a cold sore. I am worried that now I may have giving him genital herpes but I didn't know I had a sore until this morning! I am freaking out and want to know if there's anything he can do preventatively to keep him from getting genital herpes. Please help!
